“Come and See!” means that people from Europe or anywhere else in the world are cordially invited to visit us in Uganda.
Everyone is welcome. Foster parents or sponsors who already know our ministry, everybody who is eager to get to know our work and all those who just would love to experience this beautiful country.
However, this visit will be an especially unique experience for all foster parents who want to meet their foster child personally. They will meet their girl or boy and they will know for whom and for what their money is spent.
All “Come and See!” visitors are accommodated in the so-called “Teachers’ Quarter” which is located directly next to the heart of our ministry – the Primary School. Beginning of 2009, our African Village (hotel) will be ready.
You can help us in the afternoon leisure programme, join the nursery school programme, have a walk with the children of the orphanages or have a look at our vocational school and see how our students sow garments, work in the pottery, construct buildings or make chairs and beds. Have a peek in our canteen kitchen to see how our cooks prepare food for more than 500 people every day. You can also admire our beautiful rose garden and join in helping to water or plant the seedlings.
We will take you for a walk over the whole compound which is 65 hectares large, and you will be astonished how much has been built since we have started the ministry in 2004. You will notice: Everything is only possible by the grace of our almighty, loving God, and we fully trust in His guidance.
Of course, you are free to make excursions in the near surroundings, you will be welcomed everywhere. Have a rolex (ciapati pancake with eggs and cabbage) in the village “Kiyunga” that lies nearby.
Daytrips to Kampala, Uganda’s capital that is not far from here, and to Jinja where you can visit the Sources of the River Nile, are very popular, too. In Jinja, you also have the possibility to go rafting or drive quads.
Going on safari will be a very special highlight of your trip. You should not miss it! Visit the Murchison National Park in the Northwest of the country with its majestic waterfalls and its diverse fauna. After a game drive in the morning, you will go on a boat tour on the River Nile to see more animals in the afternoon.
You can also enjoy the spiritual life here. Depending on your interest, you are welcome to participate in our daily morning devotion, in the Sunday service and in the evening prayer meetings at our “Glory Church”.
Once a week we have our “Compassion Ministry” where we reach out to the neighbouring villages to bring the people the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and some clothing. You are welcome to join us!
A time filled with diverse impressions, encounters and experiences is awaiting you here in Uganda – you will not forget your time here.
